Aluminium Centre Console Boat, Built for Fishing and Family Days
The Fire 510 is a 5.1 m aluminium centre console built on the same modified-V hull with reverse chines as our Fury 500. We added higher gunwales and a sweeping shear line inspired by aluminium bay boats, for a drier, more secure ride with up to six people on board.
With a 2.2 m beam and a 60–115 hp rating, it is at home tiger fishing, in estuaries, on freshwater dams and along the coast, and it suits lodges and guides across Southern Africa as well as private owners.
The Fire 510 is designed and built by Morgan in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga, as part of the Drakōn Boats range of fully welded aluminium boats. Purpose-built hardware and components are available in our shop.
How we build our boats
Every Drakōn hull is fully welded from marine-grade aluminium, structure first. Here is a short look at a hull being fabricated.

Hull and Deck
The modified-V hull with reverse chines is the same proven platform as the Fury 500. Reverse chines add stability at rest and help keep spray down when running.
Higher gunwales and a sweeping shear line, inspired by aluminium bay boats, give more freeboard and a secure, comfortable cockpit for crew and passengers.
A shorter front deck carries a stainless steel swivel casting-seat base, and a short rear deck sits over the fuel tank, leaving an open cockpit around the centre console.
Why aluminium?
The Fire 510 is built from fully welded marine-grade aluminium because it suits the way Southern African anglers really use a boat: rough slipways, rocky banks, sandbanks, big dams and the coast. Here's what that means on the water:
- Built tough: 4 mm hull and deck plating and an 8 mm transom, fully welded, made to take knocks from rocks, stumps, jetties and slipways, and repairable by a competent aluminium welder.
- No rot, no soak: SPX closed-cell flotation doesn't absorb water, so there's nothing hidden to rot.
- Efficient power: rated for 60–115 hp outboards, so you can run a sensible motor that costs less to buy, fuel and service.
- Light to tow: a 400 kg hull is easy to tow and launch.
- Room for six: the 2.2 m beam and open centre-console layout carry up to six people.
If you want a tough, efficient, low-maintenance centre console, come and see the Fire 510.

10-year structural weld warranty
We build every Drakōn hull to last, and we stand behind our welds. Every Drakōn boat carries a 10-year structural weld warranty, and it transfers to subsequent owners for the rest of the 10-year term. If a structural weld on the hull, transom or deck structure fails through a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair it at no cost to you.
The warranty doesn't cover damage from impact, grounding, collision, accidents, misuse, overpowering beyond the rated 60–115 hp, unauthorised modifications or repairs, galvanic or electrolytic corrosion, or normal wear to paint, carpet, upholstery and fitted equipment. Outboards, electronics and other bought-in components carry their manufacturers' warranties.
