Engineered by anglers. Built in eMalahleni.
Why we started
An engineering-led boatbuilder
How we build
Drakōn isn’t a dealership or a volume factory. We personally handle hull design, structural layout, material selection, fabrication methods and equipment specification, so the person who designed your boat is the person you speak to. Our inspiration comes from the United States, where welded aluminium bass and centre-console boats are mainstream.
- Fully welded marine-grade aluminium: hull plating, framing, bulkheads, stringers and deck form one structure
- 4 mm hull and deck plating, 8 mm transom
- Precision-cut components and jig-based assembly
- Dual-pulse MIG welding, with TIG where precision and finish matter
- No timber and no mild steel: only marine-grade aluminium, stainless steel, engineering plastics, EPDM and SPX closed-cell flotation
- Durable marine polyurethane paint system with custom colours

Our 10-year structural weld warranty
We build every Drakōn hull to last, and we stand behind our welds. Every Drakōn boat carries a 10-year structural weld warranty, and it transfers to subsequent owners for the rest of the 10-year term. If a structural weld on the hull, transom or deck structure fails through a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair it at no cost to you.
This warranty does not cover damage from impact, grounding, collision, accidents, misuse, overpowering beyond the rated 60–115 hp, unauthorised modifications or repairs, galvanic or electrolytic corrosion, or normal wear to paint, carpet, upholstery and fitted equipment. Outboards, electronics and other bought-in components carry their manufacturers’ warranties.
